Saving Money on Bonds

Ah, good old Bonds the Aussie staple when it comes to baby, kids, casual and gym clothes, you can even pick up a Wondersuit in Woolies when you run in for the bread and milk.

Bonds is stocked pretty much everywhere! Of course, you can pick it up at the bonds store or bonds online but did you also know that you can head to their outlets and that the outlet is available online at bondsoutlet.com.au?

They are also stocked at Best and Less, Big W, Coles, David Jones, Harris Scarfe, Myer and Target.

To make things easy let's use the Zippy Wondersuit to compare as it's one of their most popular products.

But where can you get the best savings when it comes to bonds? I have put these in order of where I would shop 1st, after doing the research!

Aldi

Just going to put in a quick mention that earlier this year when Aldi had a baby special buy they had some Wondersuits, I can remember the exact price but I think it was around $14. But you nearly have to be at the store when they open. I popped into my local store at 10am and was only able to nab one suit and there were only a couple of girls suits left.

Coles

Unfortunately, Coles don't stock them as much, as they prefer to sell their Mixed Apparel range. Which is pretty decent but we will get to that another time.

This post turned out to be way longer than expected, but the moral of the story is when shopping for Bonds is that you should always wait until they are a minimum of 40% off. Also if the limited edition stuff might work out cheaper from Big W or another store.

What do you think? Do you have any other hints or tips on saving money on Bonds?
What stores would you like to see next?

Until next time and remember that if you keep an eye on the cents the dollars will take care of them selfs!

Instore or Online Verdict

Instore wins, you can never find an online coupon for a discount, you can't get cashback or your 5% discount online(instore only) and also have to pay for delivery, so loose, loose, loose.

With instore you can see whats on clearance, pricematch and if your buying a lot of things its no harm in asking if they will do you a deal. They also offer great advice and can help you install your car seat for a fee.

They have regular specials, so try to wait for that item to go on sale or try price match.

They also offer layby over a 12 week period. You need to pay 25% upfront then  make fortnightly payments and they charge you a $5.00 admin fee.

Also keep in mind to keep an eye on their Facebook page bacuse they do have some awsome competations, like at the moment you could win a silvercross stroller worth $1,499.

And yes I did enter Henry

To be honest though for being the go to baby chain they could do better and take a leaf out of Babies' r 'us book.

That's all I have for today, please let me know if there any stores that you would like me to feature or if you would like me to record youtube videos if you prefer to listen/watch over breakfast/ coffee for an overview and then just have the blog post to reference back on!

The Low Down On Adairs Linen Lovers

Sorry for not being online in the last month I took some time off to go to Ireland as my Dad is not well and I thought I would find loads of time to write, ya right!!

To keep things separate from saving money on baby, on Monday's I'm going to post about saving money on the A to Z of Australian stores.
Wednesday will focus on baby related stuff, and for now Fridays, I will go through makeup brands A to Z. I will also have some random updates in between as well!

Today we will start with Adairs.

Now I haven't bought anything from them yet but when we buy and get around to renovating you will be sure I will be checking them out for linen as they seem to suit all budgets!

I have heard crazy things like you can get their sheets on clearance for example from $129.99 down to $19.99 :O

So I just had a quick look at their website, unfortunately, they don't have an online clearance section but they are currently having a couple of sales.

The above and below sets had $200.00 off, plus the extra 5% off for LL members.

This quilt cover had $120 off, plus the extra 5% off for LL members. Making it $89.95 for the cover or $85.45 for LL.

They also had towels at 60% off.

I don't want that to hold back the blog so, I will the clearance section the next time I'm near a store as well as the next time I'm at Watertown/Harbourtown all the deals because as well as saving you the time I'll also know the score when it's my turn to shop!

Ok onto the deals!!

5% off sale items
Also, special discounts throughout the year on selected product lines for club members only.

Outlet Store
Yes, but I haven't checked out yet!

I will update this blog, the next time I'm in Watertown to check it out!

Instore or Online Verdict

It's 50/50, by the looks of things!

The free delivery is a tick. My best advice is to go in store pick out what you like and then wait for it to come on special then you can buy it online and get it delivered for free if you are busy, or if your really lucky you might come across something you love on clearance!

It does suck that you can't use any of the cashback sites,  but the extra 5%-10% every purchase makes up for it!

When deals like this you should never pay full price for anything, at least you will get 10% off!

Saving Money at Cotton On Kids

This is a  new series I'm starting to help people save money on well everything really I 'm going to start with products and stores I love, use and go from there.

I would like this to become a go-to directory for people before they shop.

This will include cashback if you can get any online coupons and also when there will be sales and what is the most you can get off.

I wish I could say I'm working with these companies to bring you the savings but unfortunately not, maybe one day!!

Cotton On Kids

Today I will start with Cotton on and Cotton on Kids as I have just purchased from them!

Having a newborn, I have found that I love their bibs and rompers, see below!

For example, the bibs usually retail for $12.95.
You can get them 2 for $15.00, which makes them $7.50 each, saving you $5.45
Or if you use the 30% off it would work out to $9.08 each, saving you $3.87

Another example, the rompers usually retail for $19.95.
You can get them 2 for $30.00, which makes them $15.00 each, saving you $4.95 per romper.
Or if you use the 30% off it would work out to $13.96 each, saving you $5.98

So with Cotton On it really depends on the item for you to get the maximum savings, the Also have an outlet store in most capital cities which is good when the romper 2 for $30 deal is on as they are nearly always sold out online, but other than that it is actually only a small portion of the outlet store that is discounted as they also sell the new range.

Ok onto the deals!!

Loyalty Card: Nope

Membership Fee: Nope

Birthday deal: Nope

Email sign up bonus: Yes 30% off

Free online Delivery: Yes orders over $55.00

Cashback available

Pricepal: 3.5% per $1

Flybuys: 1 point per $1

Qantas points: Nope

Ebates: Nope

Promo Codes/Discounts

Honey: Yes usually 30% off

Retail Me Not: Nope!

Instore or Online Verdict

Online wins, you can always find an online coupon for a discount, you can get cashback and also free delivery, so win, win, win.

For example if you spend $100 - 30% = $70.00 - cash back of $2.45(pricepal) or 70(flybuys points) and free delivery.

Total after best discounts and cashback  $67.55 online, saving you $32.45 if you were to go the store and pay for everything full price.

That's all I have for today, please let me know if there any stores that you would like me to feature or if you would like me to record youtube videos if you prefer to listen/watch over breakfast/ coffee for an overview and then just have the blog post to reference back on!
